Vlog Reading on BB's Sleep

Following on from this morning's daily card, I decided to do a little reading to look at what I can do about BB's sleep, or lack thereof.  I  used the Tarot of the Silicon Dawn, as I thought that the video blog format would be great to show off the varnishing technique, which doesn't show up at all on stills.  However, in this particular reading no varnished cards came up *d'oh*  Still, a couple of the additional cards did show their faces.  All told, it's not the most cheerful set of cards, but I think it shows how I try to make my readings positive and empowering.  Anyhow, here's the link: Pathway Spread on BB's Sleep.

  1. Aww. I just watched your reading! I am sorry it isn't more cheerful. And I hate to admit it but I could relate to much of what you said. Pele's sleep has also been bad since she was an infant. And as you said, at this point I do wonder if it'll ever change and what you said about changing the medications up or down not making a difference also echoes something my husband said recently.

Anyway, all of this makes me wonder. There MUST be something we're missing here? There must be some kind of light there. I just took a bath and I got the 'light' card which reminded me of your reading because I watched your vlog after getting out of the bath.

I like your idea of creating structures that support you and BB. I think this is necessary. Also, I think, 'finding the light'. It's not quite the same as hope (especially false hope!) which I am not fond of, either. It's more concentrating on the things that nurture you. I hope you can find more and more of them as time goes on.

    Hugs,

  2. Hi MM,

Sadly, I don't think there's necessarily something we're missing, that may just be the way things are. And I've heard of parents in far worse situations, where their child doesn't sleep at all for two or three nights only to drop down for 14 hours, and then be up again for 48! So, I try to count my blessings that BB does sleep every night, even if that is also medically assisted.

I like your notion of 'finding the light', finding things which nurture us. Maybe I'll do a reading on that *ha ha* Seriously, though, I think tarot cards are one of my supports, as is my Dear One, and I suspect the same is true for you :)

    Big hugs,
    Chloë

  3. Yes, definitely. I always have to remind myself to keep things in perspective! It could be and HAS been much worse. Must remember that! We could be destitute and starving, with AIDS, crawling on the ground...etc. But sometimes I think it's normal to feel sad about things, as long as there are other things to make us feel well and loved.

Tarot really has personally helped keep me sane and also connected me to lovely people such as you--I'm always surprised when I come out of my bubble and see the other people out there with their various life experiences, gifts and struggles.

I definitely do appreciate my husband's love and support. I think that also helps keep me out of the crazy house.

    Hugs,
    MM

  4. Definitely normal to feel sad, angry, stressed and the whole host of other emotions that strike us at one time or another! I guess I just meant that it helps me to count my blessings so I don't just wallow in it sometimes ;)

Here's to staying out of the crazy house!

    Hugs,
    Cx
