Heart Tarot Video Review

In preparation for next week and Valentine's Day, I thought I'd review and use the Heart Tarot by Maria Distefano (Lo Scarabeo, 2009).  It's a very unusual deck - as far as I know the only one that is actually heart-shaped - and there is a clear romantic emphasis to all the cards.  However, they are also very playful and beautiful.  Come take a look, you can see all the images in this review.

  1. Hi Arwen,

It is a fascinating, playful deck! I hope to post a video reading with it tomorrow, and will be drawing from it all next week, so you can have a deeper look... Not that I'm an enabler or anything ;D

  2. It looks lovely and guirky. It reminds me of the Circle of Life tarot. I am guessing it is by the same artist. Looking forward to your readings with it.

  3. Hi PLN,

Yes, it is the same artist :) Do you have the Circle of Life tarot? I'm not a huge fan of round decks - harder to shuffle (how pathetic is that). Anyhow, I'll be interested to hear what you think of it.

  4. I'm embarassed to say that I have hardly used it. And to be honest, I don't know why because it really is a stunning collection of art. The images are beautiful. I would never have considered a round deck either, but once you look at just how amazing the images you are, you forget about it's shape. Artistically, I would definitely recommend it. I will get to it eventually :)
