Lenormand Kick-In-The-Pants

This is a fun meme going round, started by Melissa, the Sassy Sibyl.  The idea is to do a quick-fire run through of your Lenormand cards, shooting out keywords.  I was a bit surprised by a few things I said ;)  Why not come take a look, and maybe do your own?

  1. Umm. What's ASS stand for? It certainly made me laugh.

I did this exercise along with you on your video. It's a fun thing to do, I used to do this exact same thing with tarot cards when I was learning them. I still do it with new decks. Very helpful activity.

    1. I did think about writing something on the vid, but it's short and it would have been distracting. ASS is something like "Altenburger Spielkartenfabrik" (Playing card factory of Altenburg), but I can't find what the second S is for. It's on the corners of all the cards, as it was the original publishing firm for this deck, back in around 1930 :)

I hadn't really thought about that when I chose it for my kick-in-the-pants video *daft face* :D

  2. I have a journal in which I've done this excercise for years, each time a new deck comes into my hands. It really helped break the keyword habit that we worked so hard to learn :)

    1. Only problem is, Sharon, that with the Lenormand you're not supposed to break your keyword habit... :)

  3. Nice idea--it reminds me of what we would do in life drawing class when we'd get the model up there...5-10 second drawings. It gets things loosened up and it's amazing what you can get out of such a short exercise.

Hope you have a swell day, dearie.

    XOXO,
    MM

    1. Hi MM,

Yes, I think that's exactly right, it's good practice and yet does also loosen you up :)

Hope you have a swell week!

    1. Hi Carol,

I'm going to have a Lenormand week, starting next Saturday. Because they have so few cards, I'll use a different deck each day, to avoid breaching fair use. I'll show some traditional decks, and also some nice self-published ones, so that may help you decide which you like best/first ;D Also, there are already some on here, if you click the tag "Lenormand" at the bottom of this post...

      Hope that will help :)
