(Not So) Silent Saturday

Inspired by Arwen, I have decided to start doing some Zentangles.

I realised soon enough that I need to begin with a larger canvas.  Or else use a finer pen.  In fact, I think I'd use different paper, and a pencil instead of a Sharpie.  Still, they say part of the lesson is to learn from our mistakes.  And at least it was a beginning...

Can you guess my inspiration? :D

    1. Glad you like it, Arwen, and that I finally followed your lead :) As to inspiration, that would have been good. Actually, it's a Clover (in love with Lenormand) ;D

    1. Yeah, I liked the idea of something that I could do with my limited drawing skills, and that's meditative, too :)
      XOXO,

  3. I have a couple of Zentangle books. Last year I was fiddling around making bookmarks.

I never grokked the passion some people have for them, but PLN and I fiddled a bit. He did a beautiful drawing of a man with some Zentangle patterns. I keep meaning to do more.

If you use Micron pens, they don't bleed like the Sharpies.

    1. Ooh, that's beautiful, JJ! Already with my first one I was thinking "But I want colour..." :) I guess I'll try pencils first (as my Dear One gave me a lovely set for Christmas). Still, thanks for the tip on Micron pens :D

I'm not sure I'll get all passionate about these, but it was an interesting meditative excercise...

  4. Wow, that's very pretty! I have no patience for this sort of thing. I started to colour in a mala once. That lasted about 10 minutes. A few years later, I found it and put it in the recycling. Doh! :D

    1. And yet you manage to write on oracle decks with a sharpie *hangs head as her Crystal Tarot still only has about 30 cards written on* :)
